Bret doesn’t have a wife. But he was on the verge of becoming one. He and his longtime partner, Kristi Gibson, were set to wed. In 1996, the frontman of The Poison, Kristi Gibson, began dating an actress and model.

The couple’s love flourished as they became parents to a daughter called Raine Michaels. Bret and his partner welcomed another daughter, Jorja Bleu Michaels, five years after receiving Raine (born on May 5, 2005).

Bret experienced significant hardships as the family expanded, including a cerebral bleed in early 2010 and an emergency appendectomy. Kristi, the singer’s mother-in-law, stood by his side during the trying time.

On December 22, 2010, during an episode of the reality series Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It, he asked Kristi to be his wife. Sadly, the couple decided against getting married. Bret and Kristi were only wed for two years before divorcing in 2012.

Raine, their oldest child, is a rising model. She was one of the finalists for Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Edition in 2018 and is represented by ONE Model Management.

Raine’s younger sister, Jorja Bleu, is a gifted young woman. In 2019, she and her father, Bret, co-wrote the song “Unbroken.”
